Friday, December 1, 1865. A light pleasant time in school today. Jennie called at the school-room and came to dinner with me. After school we joined Alice C_ and Manda at Mrs Dees and had a most pleasant evening. All four went up on the hill & had a merry time going. Stayed all night with Jennie at Mrs Corkhills. Sat up till nearly mid-night talking on interesting & somewhat amusing themes. Thus closes the most pleasant week since I have been in the school.
