Tuesday May 22nd 1923 I was sewing in AM. The men brought my furniture before noon. Hattie & Fannie to a luncheon. I worked all afternoon cleaning windows and painting screens. The Byingtons were here for supper. William and Mary started home in their car at eight oclock. Wednesday May 23rd 1923 LeGrand is 29 years old today. Emma came to sew for the girls. Made Hattie a dress and did other things. I cleaned the wood house desk in the AM. Very tired did not do much more. Gertrude Thompson here for the night. Paul Helmich called. Thursday May 24th 1923 After Hattie & Gertrude went away at ten oclock I began sewing on Robs night shirts. I stopped before four oclock and took a taxi to town. Did some errands, paid for my furniture ($200) and rode home with Otts folks. Evening reading. A letter from Millie. Friday May 25th 1923 I bought a load of wood. The girls away to a luncheon. Rob gone all afternoon and evening. I busy sewing. Ott left tonight for Atlanta Ga a delegate to Kiwanis Con. Saturday May 26th 1923 I sewed till noon and cleaned house all afternoon I rode to town with Rob after supper to get some things and came back in a taxi. Hattie down to Fannies for the night. Aunt Mary Ann Dunlaps birthday, born in 1818.
