Tuesday December 4th 1923 I went to town to get money for my trip and do errands. Had a letter from Laura and wrote to her. Worked on bead bag all afternoon and evening. Wednesday December 5th 1923 I was busy at home all day. Did a little sewing. Hattie took a short ride in afternoon with Fannie. Home all the evening. weather fine. Thursday December 6th 1923 I got some of my things ready to pack in AM. Rob took Hattie and me to town soon after dinner. We did errands and went to picture show. Was at Dr Smiths office, paid bill and was in Otts office to get list of notes. Walked home. Did some packing and spent evening down at Otts. Friday December 7th 1923 I finished my packing and went my trunk to the depot before dinner. Cora took me over in time for the 2.30 train. When I reached Burlington took a taxi to where Birdie stays. She was there to meet me. The Grimes Girls and Miss Williams spent evening. Saturday December 8th 1923 Mr Leffler took me to the station. When I reached Peoria went up town for my dinner. Wrote to Hattie and Lizzie Lindley. Got out to Delavan at 6.20. Mr Albers took me over to Venes where supper was ready. Spent the evening visiting with the family.
