Tuesday February 12th 1924 Mr Pickens was out this AM to say they would not go till tomorrow. I finished my letter to Hattie and wrote to The Beach in regard to a place to stop when I came back there. Mrs Falk and I went to The Club in afternoon. It rained some. Wednesday February 13th 1924 I got my things ready and Mrs Falk had early dinner before Mr Pickens with the others called for me. It was cool but the road was delightful. After trying several towns we got good rooms at Ft Pierce. Had supper and went right to bed. Thursday February 14th 1924 We had breakfast and started at 8 oclock. The ride was fine. When we got to Hollywood the hotels were full. Went on to a country hotel "The Alabama" where we got a good place. Left our things and drove through Miami Beach, Miami, and Coral Gables. Got back in time for supper. Myron back to Hollywood. Friday February 15th 1924 Mr Pickens went up to Hollywood. Brought the car back and took us up there. We went on to Ft Lauderdale before noon. I wrote to Hattie, Lydia, and Mrs Falk. Got dinner at Hollywood and drove back to Miami Beach to hear the band in afternoon. Spent the night at Hollywood. The weather is delightful. Saturday February 16th 1924 Myron came and took us to Ft Lauderdale for 7.15 train. Our train held till afternoon, a freight wreck ahead. Did not reach Daytona till midnight. Louise met Mr Pickens and Mr & Mrs Morse and took them to DeLand. I got in a Bus and went to the Gables Hotel for the rest of the night. weather cool at night.
