Monday June 16th 1924 Arrived at Kansas City on time. Left at 9.45 for Des Moines. Had to travel local train. Phoned William when I reached there. He came for me. We rode down town after supper. Marys sister is here with them. warm. Letters from Joe and Mrs Falk. Tuesday June 17th 1924 Rain early this morning. William & Mary took me to the late AM train. Pleasant ride down. I took a taxi over home. Hattie & I down to other house. Evening on porch. Letter from Lydia. Wednesday from Lydia. Wednesday June 18th 1924 I rode to town with the Girls. Hattie and I to Mrs Broadways till Cora came for dinner. Was at Fannies in afternoon. I am so worried about moving. Ott came up to see me. Letter from Ida. Thursday June 19th 1924 I talked with the folks this morning about renting a place. I did not find any. Talked with Fannie again. The girls to a party in PM. I wrote Cousin Jen, Lydia and Ida. We rode in the evening. Looked over the new place. Friday June 20th 1924 I was working all day on things ready to move. The girls all away. We rode in the evening. The Byingtons were with us. I wrote to The masons about carpets. Saturday June 21st 1924 Did some washing and rode to town with Fannie. We selected a rug for my room. Hattie went with them in the country afternoon. I busy here . Wrote Mary and put some things in a box for her. Home in evening.
