12 Thursday February 17th 1916 I was busy with the house work most of the forenoon we did a washing. I went down to Woolfs in afternoon. Mary is sick in bed. Friday February 18th 1916 I ironed and baked bread, in forenoon and soon after dinner went over to Mrs Jones of an errand. Cora and Fannie came later for a call. They stayed till 5.15; I read most of the evening. Saturday February 19th 1916 I had time to write Hattie a letter in forenoon. Will ate his dinner so he went to town at 12.15. I went an hour later. After doing a few errands we went to The Englert to a Vaudeville for "The Elks", Did not get home till 5.30. After supper I went down to Frankie Paintains to see Mrs Robinson who is there for the present Sunday February 20th 1916 It was a pleasant day. I went to church and after I got the dinner over put in the afternoon writing in this book from notes I had kept while away. It was 71 years today since Father and Mother were married. Monday February 21st 1916 I was at home all day. I did baking and other cooking in the forenoon and some mending and fancy work in the afternoon. Weather pleasant.
