Monday June 5th 1916 I was up early and had my work all done and dinner ready when Rob brought the home girls with Emily Brewer and Mrs A E Swisher out in the car. We had a pleasant days visit. Will busy over at the voting place. Tuesday June 6th 1916 It rained all day long. I did some baking and put in most of the day cleaning out desk &c. The returns are in tonight and Ott is nominated for State Senate. Wednesday June 7th 1916 I went down town at 9:15. I paid a bill at Smith & Cilecs for hay carrier at the farm. I rode over home with Rob and he took all of us girls to the valley. We spent the day at Stevens. a good time. Here at 5:30. Thursday June 8th 1916 It rained in forenoon. I was busy about the work. I went down to Minnie Showers in afternoon to talk with Julia awhile. Jeff is with Uncle Jim who is no better. Friday June 9th 1916 I went down at 10:15 and took some eggs up to Hattie she wanted to set some hens. We then walked over to Aunt Libs. The Stevens and Aunt Emma were there. I rode to town with the girls when Rob came for them. I met Will and came home at 4:30. I went back at 7:15 and went with the folks to look on at the ball. I came home at 10:30 with the Jones children.
