Friday July 21st 1916 We girls were invited down to Fannies for the day. Aunt Emma, Mary Price and Edna were there. We had a splendid day visit. The girls went home with Aunt Emma. I came home a 5:30. Spent the evening on the porch. Saturday July 22nd 1916 It was a hot day but I did a lot of washing and ironing and some baking. Will about house all day. The girls came for some of their things late in afternoon. Will Anderson brought them. Cards from the folks tell they are having a nice trip. Will and I watched the clouds thinking it would storm all evening. I went to bed rather early. Sunday July 23rd 1916 I am 65 years old today. It is five years since this date came on Sunday and I spent the day by Mothers sick bed. Uncle Jim is now very ill with the same trouble. I went to hear Mr Wylie. I met Ott and sat with him and the girls were there too. I came home alone and got dinner. a very warm day. I rested in afternoon. Will Anderson brought the girls home about nine oclock. The Whetstones got home before that. Had a fine trip. Monday July 24th 1916 I visited with the girls till they left for John Stevens at 10:15. I went down to spend the afternoon with Hattie. Tishie Hedges was on the car. She and Eloise came home Saturday night. The girls came home with me at 5:30. We went down to Lewis for ice cream after supper later.
