Saving...
Wednesday December 27th 1916 Will helped me work in the morning. I did some extra work because there was a fire in the kitchen. The clothes got dry and I ironed a few things. Thursday December 28th 1916 I ironed in the forenoon. I went down town at 1:15. Did a lot of errands and Rob took me over home in the Auto. I had a nice visit and supper with Hattie. Rob brought me back to town for the 7:30 car. Friday December 29th 1916 I did some sewing today and baked bread. It was a cold day. Rob & Cora were out in the morning to get their bushel of potatoes and Will took one down to Mrs Robinson. I read all the evening in The Histories. Saturday December 30th 1916 I did a little cleaning in the morning and put away Christmas things. Will and I went to town at 2:15. I did a lot of shopping and Will brought my basket home. I went to a picture show. Home at 5:30 Sunday December 31st 1916 I went to church in the morning. Did some work after dinner. Rob & Cora were out for supper and the evening. They were to have a watch meeting after they went home. So ends another year. For me it has been very short and I have enjoyed the trips we have made and being with friends who live away from us. May we have many more like it. It snowed some.
