Tuesday January 16th 1917 I was busy with the work all forenoon and went to town at 1:15. I looked for a cloak and found at [Bennins?] a silk [velist?] While I waited for Hattie to look at it went to a picture show an hour. She had been to the dentist. I brought it home and Will like it very much. Wednesday January 17th 1917 I went down to pay for my cloak and had my hair washed. I selected a rain coat for Will and brought it home. I was at the dentists too. Thursday January 18th 1917 We washed this morning and some after dinner. I went to town. I took the coat back I brought out for Will. I was at a picture show. The girls and Rob were there. After that I went down to the depot to order our reservation from Chicago to Jacksonville and make a few inquiries about tickets to stop over privileges e&. Home at 4:30. Ed & Ada out for evening. Friday January 19th 1917 I ironed in forenoon. We both went to town at 2:15. I was over to Hatties till bed time. She had the Anderson children. Paul Helmich and Mollie there for supper. I had a card from Lydia and Fannie. I wrote both a letter down at Hatties. Saturday January 20th 1917 Will and I put in most of the forenoon fixing the trunk. We went down town at 1:15. I did some errands and at three oclock went out to Lulu Blevins to a party. After that called on Ida Anderson. I came home at 8:30. I missed the other car.
