Monday April 2nd 1917 It was clear and fine today. I wrote some after dinner and went downtown. I was at Lizzies awhile. Frank and Sophia Woolf spent the evening with us. Tuesday April 3rd 1917 I was at home all day. Vene and Laura went in town ton the afternoon. Vene to vote as it was election day. There were callers most of the day and evening just on errands. bro Robs birthday. Wednesday April 4th 1917 Laura went to Peoria today with The Woolfs in the Auto. It set in to rain so they left the car and came home by train. I was up town in the forenoon to make several calls. I had a letter from Birdie & Fannie. Thursday April 5th 1917 There was a strong wind blowing so I did not go over to town as I had intended to do. I kept with my work. I had a card from Will and Cousin Jen she wants us to come. Friday April 6th 1917 Another pleasant day. Soon after dinner Frank Woolf came of an errand. Later I went over town to make called got back at supper time. Miss Keefe was there to do sewing. Edith got home before supper, spent the evening visiting. Saturday April 7th 1917 I got ready to leave Delavan at 10:40. Had a visit in Peoria till three oclock. It snowed on us all the way to Burlington. At Galesburg snow six inches deep. Will met me and we spent a pleasant evening with Birdie.
