Friday June 22nd 1917 I did some work about the house and slept a long time in afternoon. I am gaining strength slowly. Saturday June 23rd 1917 There was a hard storm late in the night but bright today. I baked some bread and ironed a few things. The men could not work on the fence. They finished all the front fence and the short piece across to the barn yesterday. Will to town in afternoon. I slept awhile. Sunday June 24th 1917 We slept late and yet I took another sleep before I got dinner. Birdie and Hattie came out early in the afternoon and we spent the time on the porch till Rob with the rest of the folks came for them. I was too tired to ride Monday June 25th 1917 I was busy with the work all forenoon. The Hill boys and Will reset the fence between Art Jones and us in the day and did the west line to the garden. Hattie called me at noon saying there was a letter there from Laura Mason. I went down to get it. Vene is not come this week. I came home at 4:30 to get the supper. I did crotchet work in eve. Wrote to Laura when down home. Tuesday June 26th 1917 I washed a few pieces in forenoon. Rob came out for my suit-case. They are going to Minneapolis Thursday. Letters from both the boys tell they are well and busy. We had our first new potatoes for dinner today. I sewed some and took a nap. The men finished the fence.
