Wednesday August 29th 1917 Will got me a big lot of corn from Jones this morning I got it ready by noon. I put up some tomatoes in PM I slept an hour in afternoon. was on the porch in evening. Thursday August 30th 1917 I was home bust about the work. wrote Warner McCall and did up paper for Winnie [Lawrence?] about The Folsom place being sold for $33000. Marne Huff was here in the evening of an errand and Rob & Cora were out awhile. It was Old Settlers Picnic day. I did not attempt to go. Will down town for money to go on his trip. Friday August 31st 1917 I was busy about the work all forenoon and soon after dinner slept for more than an hour. Will picked a lot of tomatoes. Rob was out in the afternoon. I got Wills things ready to pack this evening. We sat on the porch awhile. Saturday September 1st 1917 It is six years this forenoon since Mother left us. We were up some earlier this morning. I got the breakfast and Wills things ready so he went down at 8:15 to go to Delavan. I put up 8 qts of tomatoes. I fixed up what things I needed to take and went to the store at 5:15 to go over with Rob. Sunday September 2nd 1917 The most of us went to church in the forenoon. We girls had some dinner. I got some mail ready and LeGrand took us to ride in The Chandler. We went to see Uncle Jim. Then out east of town. We had some supper and sat on the porch in the evening.
