Sunday December 9th 1917 It was a fearful cold day. The folks went to church I looked after the dinner some. We spent the afternoon visiting. Mr & Mrs Teeter were here for supper and to spend the evening. Paul takes his meals here with his Mother. It was 19 years today since Edith died. cold weather then. Monday December 10th 1917 Hattie went to lunch and business meeting at the Old Ladies Home. Mrs Helmich and Paul were down to Fannies for meals. I was down there in afternoon and Hattie in evening. I am knitting. weather cold. Tuesday December 11th 1917 Hattie had to go to the church for the day as its was The Annual Bazaar. Mrs Helmich went with her and on home. I was to town in afternoon. I made a time deposit of $400 and took another treatment with Dr Herrington weather some warmed. I walked over and back. letter from Laura Mason. Wednesday December 12th 1917 We did knitting in forenoon and after dinner Hattie Cora and I with Lulu Bloom went to see "Intolerance" a wonderful picture. Hattie and I walked home. knit all evening. Thursday December 13th 1917 Hattie helped with a big washing over at Coras. I did a few things here at home. The girls all went to Red Cross in afternoon. I wrote a long letter to Lydia and did knitting I had a card from Lydia that her Father was very sick. Hattie did not come home to supper. Rob & Cora here late in the evening.
