Tuesday January 1st 1918 We were very late getting through breakfast. Cora had us with Ott & Fannie came there for dinner. LeGrand was out of town for part of the day. Rob took Hattie Cora & I down to Downey to see Mrs Clifford and sister. We got home before six oclock. Had supper and spent the evening at home. Wednesday January 2nd 1918 We were home all forenoon but Hattie went to a luncheon. After dinner I went to Coralville for some things. I heard from Lydia and Birdie. We girls went to a picture show in the evening. weather not quite so cold. Thursday January 3rd 1917 I was busy with some washing in the morning. I went to town with Rob in the car. I did a few errands. got money from the bank for my trip. Called on Mrs Robinson from Coralville who boards in town and walked home. Hattie and I spent the evening down at Otts. Friday January 4th 1918 I was down to Fannies in the forenoon. a letter from Williams tells he has a bad cold. The Whetstones, Fannie & Lula Bloom went to Cedar Rapids in the Auto. Will was in town and I did some of the packing. The folks were late home. Saturday January 5th 1918 I was at home all day. Hattie did some washing in forenoon and was away with Fanny in afternoon. I did some things toward going away. Will to Coralville. I ironed some. It snowed late in afternoon. This is Mothers birthday. Three years today since Hattie and I started to Florida.
