Thursday March 28th 1918 Will & I made up our minds this morning to go to Delavan tomorrow. He got the tickets by way of St Louis. I wrote a card to both Hattie and Lydia. I put some things in the trunk. After lunch I came down to Janes. a hot windy day. After supper we went down to Art Mc-- for a call but hurried back to the room to escape a rain. I do not feel well. I did not sleep at all last night. Friday March 29th 1918 I slept some last night. We went to breakfast in good time then I finished packing the trunk. We went down to Janes together before noon. I put up some lunch for us. Grace came over for a little visit. Jane walked with us to the depot. It rained quite a shower. We had good accomodations on the way. We talked together all the afternoon on the train. went to bed rather early. I am glad to come away from Okla City. Lees birthday. Saturday March 30th 1918 I had a good night's rest. I was some car sick but we got breakfast so I felt better. Reached St Louis on time We took an Auto ride around the city for an hour. Get dinner near the depot. Started to Delavan at 1:15. We had a pleasant afternoons trip. We found The Websters at Venes and Edith was home. Went to bed early. Sunday March 31st 1918 Eastern Sunday. I have taken cold and did not feel like going to church. The girls went. I am so hoarse I can hardly talk. I read part of the time. The folks went away in the evening. I wrote Hattie. I doctored up and went to bed early.
