Monday April 29th 1918 It was cold and ugly today. we got up very late. I wrote cards to Lizzie Lindley, Mattie Stitt, & the Reed Girls. A note to Mr & Mrs Feller in Oak Park. After a late dinner I wrote a long letter to cousin Jen with messages to 415 Walnut St It was a month today since we left there. Tuesday April 30th 1918 I baked bread and did some other work. I went down town at 2:54. I was into the bank to get our books and to the library. I got some things and left my basket at the Red Room while I went to a picture show. Home at 6 oclock. Wednesday May 1st 1918 I got the dinner so I went to town at 1:24. I did a few errands and went out to Mrs Cannons to the Aid meeting. Rob brought me home in the car and had supper with us. I read awhile in the evening. weather getting warmed. Good letter from Lydia. Thursday May 2nd 1918 I did some baking in the forenoon and sewed a little in afternoon. I fixed Wills supper and went to town at 5:39. I got fruit and fresh meat and went to a picture show till time to come home at 8 oclock. I feel [first safe?] tonight. A letter from The Reed girls. Friday May 3rd 1918 I got the dinner so I could go down at 1:24. I sent some roses to Mrs Dr Smith with a note enclosed. Then I went to The M E Church to Union Mission Meet. I heard Mrs Will Danver give fine address. Went over to Hatties with Rob. Mollie was there for supper. I came home at 8 oclock. My feet hurt again
