Saturday October 12th 1918 It was a fine day. I come out home at 1:45 to get some things I had a letter from Mattie Fletcher. I wrote Will, Mattie Stitts and cousin Jane. Back at 4:15 was tired and went to bed early. letter from Lydia. Sunday October 13th 1918 We were at home all day reading &c. I walked down to the PO after supper with mail. The folks over the river took a short ride as Rob closed the store awhile. Monday October 14th 1918 I went down town at 9:15 to take another treatment Did not get home till noon. Ida and I both rested in the afternoon. I read what spare time I had. Tuesday October 15th 1918 I wrote Cousin Jen and put in a letter from Lydia a card to Will & Lizzie Lindley. Ida & I went down on the car and walked over to Fannies. Hattie was there. Soon after we got there a telegram came for Ida that Harry & Nellie were both sick. Fannie took her home and I soon followed. Aunty had supper ready. I wrote Will to come home and took it to the office. Ida started at 8:15. Wednesday October 16th 1918 Aunty and I home all day. I slept in afternoon. a telegram from Ida says she arrived at Chicago safely. The folks are better. weather fine. There are many deaths from Influenza. We do not care to go about more than necessary.
