Thursday November 14th 1918 I worked at my crotchet a little while in the forenoon. I went to town soon after dinner with Rob for my treatment and he brought me back to Fannies where Aunty and Ida were spending the day. Home at supper time. To bed early. Friday November 15th 1918 The furnace smoked so I spent most of the day down at Fannies. The girls were over to Mrs Swishers to a little party in the afternoon. I got supper for Will & I. We went to bed early as the house was not very warm. Saturday November 16th 1918 A man came early to fix the furnace so now we will be comfortable. I read some in forenoon and went to town with Rob for treatment. Will was over all afternoon. There was a football game and a big crowd. I came home in a taxicab. weather threatening. Sunday November 17th 1918 It rained most of the day. Hattie went to church and ate dinner at Robs with the soldiers they invited for dinner. She and Cora went over to Walter Pratts in the evening to a musical. Monday November 18th 1918 Will went to Coralville for some things in the forenoon. he brought letters from Ella Nagle and Lydia I was at home all day. weather cloudy. I wrote Lydia in the evening. Read the papers & a book some.
