Monday January 13th 1919 I got up before noon today. Hattie & I went to town with Rob about two oclock. I went out home, took out Wills light over coat and cap to put away and got some things. What would he have thought of me wading through snow not even the sidewalk cleaned to get up to the house. I came back at 4:15 to Dr Bronsons office and home with Rob at supper time. The weather not very cold. Tuesday January 14th 1919 I got up before noon. I went to town with Rob & Cora after dinner and was with Mary Woolf till about 4 oclock. I walked down to Dr Smiths office to get some more medicine came with Rob at 5 oclock. Mollie Stevens came to stay all night. Fannie here awhile in the evening. It is five weeks since Will left me. I had a hard spell of grieving after I went to my room. Wednesday January 15th 1919 I did not get up till noon. I was wretchedly low spirited. walked down to Fannies late in the afternoon. Rob & Cora were here for supper but went away about 8 oclock. I went to bed early. Hattie busy at home all day. Thursday January 16th 1919 I got up earlier today. Hattie and I went to town with Rob. I took my treatment and went to The Library to see about getting the last book Will was reading. On out to Idas but they were not there. I found they had gone to Cedar Rapids. I got Wills watch to bring home. Rob brought me over to Fannies about 4 oclock. Hattie came later. a letter from Lydia. I wrote her in evening.
