Wednesday April 30th 1919 weather still unpleasant. I could not go for treatment Fannie still in bed. Ida had a good letter from Vene. Thursday May 1st 1919 no change in the weather. Fannie up part of the time. I am making some tatting and listening to the girls talk. Friday May 2nd 1919 The sun shone this morning and I was so homesick. Only thing of a year ago when I was at home with Will. I went to town at three oclock in the Auto for treatment. Paid Dr Cleveland $10,00. It rained some but I walked home. Lulu Bloom at Cora's Saturday May 3rd 1919 Raining again this morning as it did all night. After dinner Ott's folks went home. Hattie to town and I did up the evening work. I read aloud to Birdie and [read?] more in evening. Sunday May 4th 1919 Hattie went to church. I got the dinner ready. Rob & Cora ate with us. I went down to Otts and out to Hedges at 3:15. Had supper there. Home at 7:15. I read to Birdie in evening. Monday May 5th 1919 not a pleasant day. The man is here papering. I wrote Vene. Hattie to town in afternoon to committee meeting & do errands. Tuesday May 6th 1919 I went down to sit with Fannie and had dinner there. I walked to town before 4 oclock. Took treatment of Dr Cleveland. There was a hard rain so I came home in a taxi. Ott went to Des Moines so I spent the night with Fannie. I had a letter from Jake Ware at Piketon.
