Wednesday August 13th 1919 I did not feel well but worked all day at the kitchen cleaning the floor and putting down oil cloth. We ate dinner at Coras. Charlie Wilson was hauling trash away. The folks went for picnic supper. I ate alone and did more work. Hattie came home early and The young folks went for a ride. fine weather. Thursday August 14th 1919 The Electric Light men came to work today. George Miller worked for the foreman and I was with him. The girls went down to Aunt Ellens for dinner. I got me a little after twelve oclock and unpacked dishes. My new kitchen cabinet was brought over. We all had picnic supper down at Otts. Later Hattie and I took a ride with Ott and Fannie in a car they think of buying. The girls over to the store. Friday August 15th 1919 I wrote Lydia before going to town when Cora took The Miller girls to the depot. Hattie went with us. I took a treatment of Dr Cleveland. We both came with Cora at noon. I worked all afternoon. Joe Williams came from Des Moines. Saturday August 16th 1919 Hattie left before seven oclock to go to Burlington with The Pratts and Ott & Fannie. William took me to Coralville. The Thompson transfer brought down another load of things. They were all unloaded before noon. I worked all afternoon putting things away. Hattie got home for late supper. William took me to town after supper for some meat. I had a letter from Lydia and bill from Dunlap for $203.00.
