Tuesday September 2nd 1919 Not very well. crotcheted some. a letter from Hattie. wrote to her and took letter to 4:45 train. visited in evening with Vene and Lydia. Wednesday September 3rd 1919 I feel better today. On porch most of forenoon. Robert Patton with a couple of friends here for dinner on their way home from a house party at Cambridge. wrote to Laura and Edith. Thursday September 4th 1919 It was cooler and some-what cloudy this morning. I walked out to the cemetery. I was glad I went. I want to look after the lot where Wills people are buried. I worked on the spread. Friday September 5th 1919 I went to Peoria at 10:45. Had a letter from Hattie wrote her in Peoria. After looking about I bought carpets at Block & Kohls for the two rooms at home. Met the girls at depot. reached home 6:15. warm again. We sat on the porch till late looking for Harry and Maybelle. Sunday September 7th 1919 I wrote Millie Byington and Lizzie Lindley. Harry & Maybelle came. I rested some in afternoon.
