Monday November 24th 1919 It was a nice day. Vene did washing. I walked out to the cemetery jist before noon. Afternoon at home. The girls up town in the evening. I finished a pattern for Lizzie Duncan. Tuesday November 25th 1919 I wrote some letter. One to Uncle Jim, Joe Woolf, and Warner McCall. Took them to the office and was at Lizzie Duncan's awhile. Home at dark. The folks had called most of the afternoon. Mr Parsons was here. I read some in evening. Wednesday November 26th 1919 It was a wintry day. I was in and busy writing letters. I did not get up till nearly nine oclock. I had a letter from Hattie. I wrote to her. Mattie Stitt, Millie Byington, Winnie Lawrence. After supper gathered what things I needed to take with me tomorrow. Thursday November 27th 1919 We were up early and Vene and I started to Gibson City at 8:15. It had snowed a little in the night. We had a taxi take us to the station. We had to wait at Mt Pulaski. When we got on the train there. Harry and Mabel were on. Robert and his Mother met us. We had a slippery ride out home in the Auto. Their new home is very pretty and comfortable. We had late dinner and the evening was spent in visiting. Robert took Harry back to town for the mid-night train. I could not forget how I spent last Thanksgiving day and how Will enjoyed his meal. Hattie has the dinner again today. Will Bremmer and Emily are there. Rob & Cora have gone to Des Moines for a visit.
