Friday February 2nd, 1912 It was a very cold day I did not go out of the house. [illegible] Lydia and I spent the day visiting the little boys still here. I had letters from both Will and [Hattie?]. Saturday February 3rd, 1912 Still very cold. I went over to Duncans in the afternoon I stopped at the office and paid for The Times Press a year in advance and at McCloys drug store. Spent the evening visiting with Lizzie I felt sorry to find her not well. Sunday February 4th, 1912 Very cold yet. Carl took me over to [Vewes?] before noon. I left Lizzie better this morning. [Mortie?] had come down. Their car will be loaded Monday and she and the little boys will go Wednesday. I left for Peoria at 4.07 and Stella came to Green Valley. I had expected to stay all night in Peoria but found there was a train so came on home. Got over home by two oclock and went to bed with Louie. I had a fine trip. Monday February 5th 1912 I spent the day visiting with the girls there at home Will came down town in the afternoon and helped me home with my [grip?]. I got supper read some and talked to Will. Tuesday February 6th, 1912 I went down to [illegible] in the forenoon to take a last look at Ida who died in Canada. The funeral was at the church in the afternoon and the burial up here on the hill. I feel very sad about it. I have that hurt in my left lung and am not doing much of any thing. A card from [illegible] Ida she has been sick ever since I was here I wrote to her.
