Tuesday May 7th 1912 Will is 64 years old today. We drove to the valley early this morning and got "Trixie" we were home by eleven oclock. After dinner I laid down awhile. I was so tired. Will went to town to get Trixie shod. After I got up I took the tacks out of the carpet in my roon and put the lace curtains to soak. I got the supper over and went to the M. E. Church to a concert. I took Eloise Hedges with me. a fine day. Wednesday May 8th 1912 I washed the lace curtains early and we then took up the carpet in my bedroom. The wind blew as it made the days work a hard one. we got the room all cleaned before supper time. I read some and went to bed early. Thursday May 9th 1912 Hattie is 55 years old today. Weather fine. I ironed the curtains and did some cooking. Will hitched and took me to town in afternoon. I got some things to send home and Will them took me up to Mildred Stevens where all the cousins were to spend the afternoon. We had such a good time. I stopped at Murphys to see Genevieve till 7.00. Friday May 10th 1912. It rained in the morning but we had already taken out the carpet in Wills bed room and cleaned it so I went right on with the work. I had the room all done by three oclock. I then work out of doors awhile. Will cleaned out the chicken house. I had early supper and went down to Otts to visit with Ida who was here for a day on her way to nevada, Iowa, on a visit. Came home at 8.35. a letter from cousin [By?]
