Saturday May 25th 1912 I was busy with baking and other work in the morning. Will went to town and we both did after dinner and he brought me back over home where I visited with the girls and Mrs Nettie Moore and Miss Boyl. We come home at 6 oclock. I got supper, worked in the yard awhile and read papers. Sunday May 26th 1912 We drove over to the west farm in the morning and found every thing all right. I got dinner soon as I come home. We had a fine shower in the afternoon. I slept awhile. I wrote to Alice Condon after I got up. Hattie & Lorie were out after supper for some little chickens I had for Hattie. Monday May 27th 1912 I was busy with the care of the chickens, worked some in the yard and garden. Will mowed the yard and worked the garden over. I put up a few curtains in the afternoon. I cleaned a chicken in the evening. Tuesday May 28th 1912 I did some baking in the morning and Will was cutting weeds. I went to town for lumber for the screen porch. We had a nice shower in the afternoon. I finished putting up the curtains. I read in the evening. a letter from Rob & Cora. Wednesday May 29th 1912 Rob Whetstone 29 years old today. I drove "Nell" and took Fannie with me and we went down to Mildred McCallisters to a party for the girl cousins. They did not get any rain down there. We had such a nice day. I stopped at Otts for supper and did not get home till dark. We had a nice ride and a good visit. I was very tired went right to bed. We each gave LeGrand a check for $5.00.
