Thursday May 30th 1912 We did not care to go to decoration. I helped Will and we fixed the crib so the hens could not get under there to set any more. He then began to plow the corn. I got dinner and worked all afternoon cleaning the kitchen. I got the first of the strawberries tonight. Friday May 31st 1912 Will worked very hard helping the men load the old iron he sold. There was three big loads and it come to $16.80. I worked all day cleaning the cellar. I went down to High School commencement in the evening to see Le Grand graduate. It was very nice. I was late getting home. Saturday June 1st 1912 It was 25 years today since Ott & Fannie were married. We were invited there for dinner. We went up town for some things and did not get there until noon. The folks from the other house was there. It looked like rain and we hurried home in time to escape a shower. I did some ironing and slept awhile. The men got the back porch frame ready for the screening. I read in evening. Sunday June 2nd 1912 It was late when I got up and I was busy with the work all forenoon. I slept awhile in the afternoon. I then wrote to Ida Cutter and some post cards. I sent them down by Tishie Hedges. She was here with the children. Hart Spencer and family drove up in their Auto but did not get out. Did evening work and read some.
