Monday July 22nd 1912 We were up early had breakfast and prepared lunvh to take with us on a drive up Boulder Canyon. The boys went down and got the team so we were off by 7:30. It was just wonderful. we went 18 or 20 miles from Boulder. Saw the dam that furnished the power for the Denver & Boulder interurban and Glacier Lake that gives Boulder it splendid water supply. Ate dinner over a village called Nederland. we reached home before seven oclock a wonderful day. Tuesday July 25th 1912. This is my birthday 61 years old. A year ago today I spent with Dear Mother I slept with her that night. Rob brought a cake and Cora got up a birthday dinner. I packed in the afternoon and in the evening we all went to a show as Robs treat for my borthday. Wednesday July 21st 1912. We got up early and Will and I left at 6:20 for Pueblo arriving at noon. We got some dinner and walked up town went in the store to see Adam and Ed Reis and to Ed Stimnel office to see him. It looked like rain so we went back to the depot in plenty of time for the 4 oclock train to Colorado Springs. It was raining when we reached there. We got in a carriage and were driven to "The Pines" where Rob & Cora had stayed. We got a room, liked the place very much, had supper and went to a picture show in the evening. We are surely enjoying this trip.
