Monday August 5th 1912 Will took the men and some things needed to the farm this morning. I did some more writing and got the dinner. Will went back with more stuff in the waggon in afternoon. I went down town was at Dr [Hartbrot?] and paid $200 for benevolence and at Mr Abrams paid very last subscription on building fund and $10.00 for church subscription. I got some thing needed and went over to see Aunt Lib & Aunt Sarah a little while, home at 4:30 and found Will already here. Did the evening work. Tuesday August 6th 1912 Will and I rode over to the farm and was done by nine oclock. we are going to put on a new front porch. Will went back in the waggon this afternoon. Ott & Fannie were out for dinner and Fannie did not go home till 9:15 Wednesday August 7th 1912 Will went to the farm again this forenoon with more lumber. I was busy with the work. He was a little late to dinner. I went down home at 2:45. Fannie is looking for Will & Emily by Automobile. I rode to town with Cora to get some things. Rob is in Chicago buying a soda fountain. Thursday August 8th 1912 Will went to the farm again this morning. I put up peaches and did the work. In afternoon began a tatting hand by Will did not need to go back for the men they got done and Joe brought them home. Cora went to Minnesota tonight. Rob as far as Cedar Rapids and they stopped an hour at Coralville to visit with us at the depot.
