Wednesday August 21st 1912 Will went to town for Jinnie Huffman and the paint and was back here and I had their dinner so they started for the farm at 12 oclock. I had my work done so I went down here at 1:15 and came up town to get some things and after supper carried all the canned fruit in the cellar. Thursday August 22nd 1912 I ironed and put up tomatoes today. I wrote to Laura in afternoon and did the mending and put the clothes away. The telephone is so we can use it now. Will busy about home. Friday August 23rd 1912 I got a batch of corn drying by ten oclock and had done some baking. Will took me to town in the buggy in afternoon to get some things and then over the river where The Williams girls are spending the day. had a nice visit I am working on my tatting bag. Fannie in bed today. Saturday August 24th 1912 We drive over to The [Foran?] this morning to see how Jinnie was coming on with the painting. It is nearly done and looks well. were home in time for me to get another batch of corn drying before noon. I rested awhile after dinner & was very tired it is so hot at 3:40. Vene Rankin Fisher came out the air called here by her Mothers death two weeks ago. I had a good visit with her she went home at 8:15. I then finished up my work John & Hattie went down to Aunt Ellens today. The girls and William Byington got home from St Paul last night
