Wednesday Sepember 4th 1912 Did house work in the evening and was ready to go to town at 1:15. I got some things I needed and went over to Aunt Libs to spend the afternoon and over home to supper. I walked up town with Hattie and came home at 7:30. Thursday September 5th 1912 I dressed chickens, baked bread, and got a nice dinner ready by the time John & Hattie came out. They stayed till three oclock. I worked some in the yard after supper. weather very warm. Will not doing much of anything. Friday September 6th 1912 I was busy all morning doing baking and other house work. I rested awhile after dinner and Cora came at 4:40, LeGrand & William an hour later and Rob at 6:40 for supper. They stayed till 9:15 and we walked down to the station with them. Ott got home from Pittsburg at 4:08. Saturday September 7th 1912 I washed and ironing both today and it was very hot. I rested some in afternoon and was so tired I went to bed early. Will went to town in afternoon. He loaned Rob $500.00 and I sent Jinnie a check for painting $20.00. Sunday September 8th 1912 It was slightly cooler early this morning. I did some work about the house and wrote some. It was 32 years today since John & Hattie were married. I rested in the afternoon and picked up Wills things ready to pack. We sat on the porch and talked in the evening.
