Saturday September 28th 1912. It began raining very early and kept it up til after noon. Ott Hattie and Rob went to the cemetery and bought two new lots. Ida come at 308 from Monmouth I went down late in the afternoon. I slept some in forenoon. Will to town. Sunday September 29th 1912. It was a fine day. I was busy about the house and had my dinner so I went down at 12.15. Will had gone up to the cemetery to see about taking Edith from Uncle Jims vault, and had his dinner over home. The flowers for John were beautiful and the casket set in the middle of the front parlor just where he and Hattie stood to be married. There was a large funeral and the Masonic Rites were beautiful. Will and I came back in the carriage with Rob and Cora. Will went home at 5:30 and I came at 9:30. We will miss John and I cannot realize he has left us. Monday September 30th 1912 A beautiful day. Will took Albert Whetstone Rob and Cora a ride around town and Albert came out with him to dinner. Ida came out at 11.40. Will went back to town with Albert at 2.15. I spent the time visiting with Ida and doing the wash Allie Holson went home this morning. Tuesday October 1st, 1912. This was a busy day. The men came to take down the crib to move to the west farm. They got it all down. Ida and I spent the afternoon in the cemetery. We were all very tired today and went to bed early. Albert Whetstone started home this evening.
