Wednesday January 1st 1913 I got my work done so easily this morning. It was such a mild beautiful day. Otts family, Hattie, By & Millie came at 11;40 and Rob, Cora, Birdie & Lorie later. I had my dinner ready at one oclock. All said it was fine and enjoyed it. We spent the aftefrnoon visiting. The last of the folks went at 5:15 and I then washed my dishes and put every thing in place. It has been a very satisfactory New Years Day. Thursday Januaty 2nd 1913 I sewed a little this morning as I did not have any cooking to do.
