Friday January 10th 1913 It was so much milder I went to town to get some things I needed. The dinner was some late I finished the tatting for my pillow case and cut them out and partly made. I sent a card to Mary Briggs. Satuday January 11th 1913 I cleaned the house up nicely and prepared some things for supper, and sewed awhile in the afternoon before Hattie & Lorie came out. The weather turned very much colder. They went home at 8:15. I finished the pillow cases. Sunday January 12th 1913 It was a very cold day but Will & I went down to Robs to dinner. Had a nice visit. I did not come home till 5:30. Got us supper and read all the evening. Monday January 13th 1913 It was still cold. Will helped me wash and I hung the clothes in the house. I worked on my tatting my spare time. Tuesday January 14th 1913 I ironed this forenoon and got the dinner. I put things away and went to town at 2:15 got some things I needed and went up to Mrs Connors to a reception given for Mrs. Blachner on account of her going to Ottumwa to live. About for oclock I went over to Aunt Emmas where I had supper and spent the time till I was able to came home on the 8:30 car. I talked with Will and read some. It had been a very pleasant afternoon.
