Thursday January 30th 1913 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon after dinner I wrote to Lydia. It turned cold and the wind blew very hard. Hattie & Lorie were out for supper. Home at 9:15 Will down to see Mary. Friday January 31st 1913 It was so cold we could hardly keep the house comfortable. I went to town at 1:15 the funeral of Mrs Falk and got back at 2:40. I was glad to get back out of the cold wind. I worked on my tatting bag Rob & Cora out to supper. Saturday February 1st 1913 Will and I neither one went to town. I was busy with the meals & did some mending and fancy work. The weather much better than yesterday the wind dont blow. Sunday February 2nd 1913 It was late when we got up. I wrote some letters and cards. got the dinner and left at 1:15. I stopped at Woolfs. Mary is much better. I then called at Folsoms and went over home for some things. At four oclock went to [S?] [L?] [I?] vespers to hear Rev Newton of Cedar Rapids talk. Came home at 5:30 got supper and read some. Monday February 3rd 1913 It was cold but Will helped me wash. I went down to see Mary Woolf at 2:15 coming home at 4:40. I read some and did a little fancy work in the evening. I had some thing to fix for my dinner tomorrow.
