Monday March 24th 1913 I got some rags from the garrett and begun a rug. We heard there was a terrible cyclone at Omaha last night about supper time. We had a frightful storm before midnight. Tuesday March 25th 1913 I am still working on my rug. I had a letter from Lydia today. The reports from Omaha are terrible and there are terrible floods at Dayton Columbus and other places in Ohio. They are busy with their house cleaning down home. Wednesday March 26th 1913 A wintry day. I worked at my rug. Will about house most of the time. I read the papers in the evening. Thursday March 27th 1913 I wrote Lyda in the forenoon. Did the regular work. At 3:15 went to town did a lot of errands was to see the Dr and took supper in town. I then called at the Christian Church where they were celebrating their 50th anniversay. I met Mr & Mrs J Madison Williams from Des Moines. I come home at 7:30 and read some Friday March 28th 1913 I washed some in the morning. Will went down town at 10:15 and over home to dinner. I went done to Otts at 12:15 and we all walked out over the pasture and looked how it would be best to fix the road. I walked over to Marys about three oclock and came on home at 4:30. I did my evening work read a little and went to bed. I am very tired, weather cold and windy.
