Saturday May 3rd 1913 I worked all day long at the cleaning, washed more wood wokr, cleaned furniture, &c. Will to town in afternoon. Word from Nellie & Ida tells the Bosnells have moved to Milwaukee and Ida is in Carthage on a visit with Baby and she has measles. Sunday May 4th 1913 A rainy day. How delightful after the hot dry weather we have had. I did the wash and rested. Fannie went to Marshalltown today. I read some in the evening. I slept most of the afternoon. Monday May 5th 1913 It rained most of the day. Mr. Dermony papers the kitchen. I went to town at 2:15 to get other paper. he did not get done till six oclock. we got supper and I worked in the kitchen all evening. Tuesday May 6th 1913 Will worked with Mr Dermony all forenoon papering down at the tenant house. I washed some curtains, cleaned wood work, and screens. Very pleasant after the rain. Art Jones put the gray mares in the pasture today. William Byington is 15 years old today. Wednesday May 7th 1913 Will is 65 years old today. I gave him a pocket book. I painted screens and Will put them in. Cleaned the summer kitchen and was busy till bed time. Will to town in afternoon and got the abstract for land we sold Art Jones the last time and what we left. It was $124.00
