Thursday May 8th 1913 I cleaned the cellar in the forenoon and did some washing in afternoon and after supper cleaned the pantry where we go down cellar. Will did a heavy days work in the yard and garden. Rob out in afternoon to drive brown colt. I got a table for the dining room from the Wrecking Co for some old things & $3.00 Friday May 9th 1913 I washed a few things for Will and got the dinner. We went to town in afternoon. I helped him select a hat and I got some things. We were not gone long. I did ironing after I came home. Hattie is 56 years old today. Saturday May 10th 1913 I gave the kitchen floor a good cleaning with the brush and did other work. Will went to twwn at 12:15 and I an hour later. I took some things to the rummage sale and did some errands. Will & I were over to Otts for supper. Fannie has returned with her Aunt Anna who goes on east the first of the week. We came home at 8:30. Sunday May 11th 1913 Rob was out for breakfast. He left "Davy colt" and took the brown one home with him. We went to the Christian Church to hear Clyde McCord preach. Rob & Cora met us and we all took dinner at "The Van Meter." We came home at 1:30 was busy most of the afternoon. My chickens have begun to hatch. Monday May 12th 1913 It looked like rain and we did not work. We both went to town in the afternoon. I selected myself a light cloak. It is 27 years today since we were married. I did the evening work and looked after the chickens.
