Tuesday July 22nd 1913 Joe came this morning and took the machinery over to start the well. Will drove to tell them where to place it. [deleted text: I was busy sewing most of the day Wednesday July 23rd 1913] I was busy with my dress all the time I could spare from the work till nearly five oclock. I had it done and took it down for the girls to see. Had supper over home and got some apples. LeGrand brought me to the car. Ott went to Chicago tonight. [deleted text: This is my birthday. I am 62 years old. A card from Mrs Jones] Wednesday July 23rd 1913 I did a big washing morning and Will got Art Jones team and mowed the front yard. In the afternoon he went over to see how they were getting on with the well. I did some mending and some last stitches on other things. I am 62 years old today. [deleted text: Friday July 24th 1913 Will went back] Thursday July 24th 1913 I did the ironing. Will was over to see about the well. Mr Eastland is down over 60 feet and no water yet. I went to town in the afternoon to get a lot of things and left a new umbrella I had bought at The Chautauqua headquarters. I was busy with house work till nearly bed time. Friday July 25th 1913 Will to the farm again. Mr Eastland has found water at nearly 90 ft. I was busy with house work all forenoon. Will went to town in afternoon got the money for our trip. I was over to Mrs Jones to her birthday party. I gave her a small glass dish Will brought home my new umbrella I left in town yesterday.
