Saving...
Wednesday October 29th 1913 There was snow on the ground this morning but it soon disappeared. I swept up stairs before dinner. In afternoon I changed the feathers in a bed in the garret and cleaned wood work and dusted the upper floor. I finished Ida's slippers. Thursday October 30th 1913 I washed some lace curtains in the morning and Will & I went down to Cora's to eat roast duck. Hattie was there too. I came up town on my way home. I had a card from our May today the first in five years. weather pleasanter. Friday October 31st 1913 It was a good day for the work and I put in a day at the cleaning. I washed a few more curtains and ironed all of them. Gave the lower story a good sweeping and washed some windows. Will took the screens out and put in storm sash. Saturday November 1st 1913 Will helped me do some washing. I got dinner so he went to town at 12:15. I washed more windows and wood work did some ironing and was ready to eat supper so I went down town at 5:15. Was down to Minnie Showers for yeast and got a dress to send Betty for birthday. Will was down in afternoon. while I was down had a great time with Robs old mare being choked. Sunday November 2nd 1913 A fine day I was busy most of the forenoon getting dinner Rob & Cora drove out. Hattie came after church. she did not stay long as she went to meet Lorie who came from Des Moines. I put some things in the garret before night and did some writing in the evening.
