Sunday November 28th 1913 I went to church alone but sat with Lizzie, Mollie and Irene. Vene had dinner ready when I got home. after awhile Irene came and we walked out to the cemetery. I was so glad to go. I stopped to see Rachael Hess on my return Edith came at 5:10. We spent the evening writing. Monday November 24th 1913 I went over to Lizzie Duncan stopping on the way to renew subscription for "Times Press." Mollie & Irene came over while I was there. I went back to Venes about two oclock and Jim went to the depot with me at 5:10. I made good connections and had a very [diverting?] trip home. Went over to Hatties to spend the rest of the night. A beautiful day. Tuesday November 25th 1913 It looked like rain so I hurried home after breakfast Will met me. I got the dinner over and went back to Mrs Teeters to "The Hook & Needle Club." Went up town and got home at 4:40. I worked at my tatting all evening. It was six years today since we laid Father to rest. Ida & Betty came at 3:40. Wednesday November 26th 1913 I did some extra cleaning forenoon and went to town at 1:15. Later I went down to the CRI&P depot to see Mrs Dow, Rob & Cora start to Des Moines. Did fancy work in evening. Thursday November 27th 1913 We spent Thanksgiving at Hatties. Aunt Emma and Anna were there. We had such a good days visit. Will came home before supper and I at 7:30. Walked up town with Aunt Emma. How Mother would have enjoyed the day.
