Thursday January 15th 1914 I was busy all forenoon with the work. Cora was in a few minutes. Agnes did not get home till noon. Will comes down for his dinner every day. I went to town with Fannie in afternoon. Was at Ida Andersons and Mrs Swishers. Will and Roc went to the funeral of Charlie Lee's son Bert. I spent the evening at home. I am making tatting pillow cases. Friday January 16th 1914 I was busy about home most of the forenoon. I had a letter from Hattie that I took down to read to Fannie before noon. Will stopped a little while after dinner. I walked to town in afternoon. Was at Mrs Browns to the Missionary meeting walked down town with Aunt Emma & Aunt. Down to Otts in evening. Saturday January 17th 1914 I helped Agnes a little with the work and ate a lunch a little after eleven and went down to Otts to go to Cedar Rapids in the Auto. They took Mrs Swishes too. We had a nice trip and got back a little after five oclock. Hattie had come at noon. I staid with her till after supper and Agnes & Loyd came done to the track with me. I came home at 7:30. I did a little sewing and went to bed I was tired. Sunday January 18th 1914 It snowed last night. The weather had been fine for the last week. We were late getting up. Rob was out awhile. I put in all the time till late dinner doing things about the house. Will cleaned the snow from the walks. I wrote and read in the afternoon and evening. The letters were to Edith Mason.
