Tuesday February 24th 1914 I was at home all day. Not quite so cold today. I was busy sewing when not doing the housework. Wednesday February 25th 1914 I went to town at 10:15. Did some errands and went up to Aunt Hughes to see an Elder Daughter Picnic. There was a good attendance and I enjoyed it. I left at three to go and see about my teeth. Came home at 4:30. Made tatting in evening. Thursday February 26th 1914 I was at home all day. Did some sewing and worked at my tatting. It is 14 years today since we bought this place. Friday February 27th 1914 I was sewing what spare time I had. Was in town an hour in afternoon about my teeth. Will had gone in and we came home together. I finished the tatting for Mrs Teeter today. Saturday February 28th 1914 It was a bright morning and I started in to give the house a good cleaning which I did by the middle of the afternoon. By that time a terrible cold wind was blowing. Will was in town in the afternoon. I read in the evening. Sunday March 1st 1914 It was still very cold we did not get up till late and I did not got to church. I did not write any letters but read all the time I had to spare from the house work. Monday March 2nd 1914 I was at home all day and did some sewing. Still cold It was 13 years this evening at five oclock since Lee died at The Hospital in Colorado Springs. Ott was with him.
