Thursday March 26th 1914 I sewed some more today. The weather jist like spring I went to town at 3:15 met Cora at the store and we went up to Mrs McChesneys to a recital. I was at Dr Breenes office later and got my new teeth. home at 5:30 Friday March 27th 1914 I swept all the lower story after washing a few things before noon. After dinner baked cake and fixed things for supper. Hattie & Fannie came out at 3:40 and Ott for his supper. They went home at 8:15. It soon began to rain. Saturday March 28th 1914 It rained very hard last night and kept at it by spells all day. I did some cleaning up stairs in forenoon and in afternoon finished my petticoat and did a few other things. In the evening I finished the tatting for Aunt Electas bed set. Tonights paper says Prof. McBride is President of the S. U. I. as Dr. Bowmans resignation has been accepted and he appointed. Sunday March 29th 1914 Lee's birthday. He would have been 42 years old. It rained nearly all night. I went down home at 11:15 with Will for dinner. In the afternoon. Ott Hattie & I looked over the things that had been put away in Robs old chest. I brought home a diary of Fathers for 1858 that I put in the evening reading. Monday March 30th 1914 Will was down to Coralville Election all day. I went to town at 2:15. Took in a hat to have fixed and did some shopping and went up to have the teeth fixed some. Come home at 4:30. I wrote Lydia in the evening and wrapped up Aunt Electas tatting. wrote her a card.
