Friday April 17th 1914 I did quite a washing and Will put in ice for the first time. I went to town at 2:15 and out to Mrs Connors to The Union meeting of missionary society. I called at Ida Andersons to wait for a car. Got home at 5:40. The heat and dust was tiresome. Did evening work and read a little. wrote Lydia in forenoon. Saturday April 18th 1914 I ironed in forenoon. I feel very tired and did a little sewing in afternoon. Will went to town. There was a slight rain last night and a shower this afternoon. weather some cooler. Sunday April 19th 1914 It was a cold windy day and we did not get up till very late and had only two meals. I wrote some letters and read a book. Monday April 20th 1914 The wind went down in the night and today was pleasant. I did some baking and got the dinner. Fannie & her Aunt Anna came out at 10:40 and Hattie early in afternoon. I worked at tatting. Tuesday April 21st 1914 Rob and Cora were out for breakfast. Will worked at putting in oats. Was warm as summer. I was sewing all day. We hear Frank Hutchinson died this morning. Will was in town for seed. Wednesday April 22nd 1914 Will finished seeding the little piece of ground in the forenoon and in afternoon plowed the garden. I left my sewing to go down to the store and got some seeds and we planted some. We sent flowers to Frank Hutchinson funeral but did not go. Joe Williams was here. Hattie went with her I had a letter from Lydia today.
