Thursday May 21st 1914 I swept and cleaned the parlor in forenoon and the kitchen in afternoon. I cleaned of the oil stove and got it ready to use. Will mowed the yard today and it was a hard job. he raked some more garden and we put out tomatoe plants. Friday May 22nd 1914. Will helped me do a big washing in the forenoon. I went to town at 3:15 was at Dr Breenes office to see about my teeth and down to the Athletic Field to see the May Day Fete. It was beautiful. I had to come home at 5:30. Will was riding all afternoon with George Stevens. A letter from Mattie Stilts. Saturday May 23rd 1914 Rob rode out this morning on a horse he had borrowed and it got sick. The boys had a great time and had to send for Dr Potter. I did some ironing and baking in forenoon. Will went to town in afternoon. I suffered all day with my teeth. Sunday May 24th 1914 We slept very late. Ott called about nine oclock and said a telephone message from Marshalltown said Aunt Anna Bremmer was very sick and in talking to Hattie later she told me she died at 9:20. Fannie started there at 12:30 and Ott went with her as far as Cedar Rapids. I read a book and wrote some. I have suffered intensely with my teeth all day. weather warm and pleasant.
