Sunday July 26th 1914 Edith and I went to church in the morning and were invited down to Minnie Showers for dinner. We had such a good visit. At 4:30 I came home. I felt so tired and Edith and the girls went to the cemetery. Jennie Shuck got home from Delavan last night. Monday July 27th 1914 Will helped me wash in the morning and I ironed in the afternoon. I did the mending and we sat on the porch all evening to visit. Tuesday July 28th 1914 LeGrand & Fannie took me over to Flora Stevens and Will brought Edith out from school. At 3:30 Will came back for me and we went to town. Dr Breene put my teeth in. We got home jist before the Folks brought Edith in Auto. She spent evening at Woolfs. Wednesday July 29th 1914 I did some extra work about the house. A card from Lizzie Lindley urging us to come. Edith to school and we spent the evening at home. She does not feel well. Thursday July 30th 1914 I baked bread and ironed my new table cloth. Edith went over to Aunt Emmas to dinner. I met her in town at 3:30 and we selected a new hat for me. Dr Breene fixed my teeth a little. Edith Whetstone's birthday 1887. Friday July 31st 1914 I was at home all day, did some sewing. Edith went back to town in afternoon to go through the hospital with Dr Osborne. The summer school closed today. There was a very little rain in the evening.
