Sunday October 18th 1914 I slept better last night and think my throat is better. I wrote Lizzie Lindley in forenoon and in afternoon packed up some of our things. Was over to Janes awhile. Monday October 19th 1914 I worked all forenoon at the packing and after dinner Will took some things over to Janes and late in the afternoon we went over. I took a treatment with Dr Knight. Tuesday October 20th 1914 Will was away with Art in forenoon and I did some writing. I went out to see Effie Stone in the afternoon. Mr Stone is very bad. The boys went to a show at night. Letters from Cora & Fannie. Wednesday October 21st 1914 I was up town and went out to call on Gertrude Bronson Mitchell. Late in the afternoon I went up to Mrs Knight and she gave me a vapor bath. After supper the folks were all at Janes for a little while. We went to bed early. Thursday October 22nd 1914 We got up at three oclock. Jane got us some coffee and fixed the lunch box while we dressed. We were hurried away by the cab-man coming early and without telephoning as he said he would so did not get to eat much and I forgot my brown hat. I phoned back from the station. It rained on us most of the day. The car was not crowded and we had a nice days ride. Reached Kansas City at 7:00 in evening. Went over to The Blossom House and to bed about nine oclock. wrote some cards.
