Friday January 1st 1915 I was at home at work all day. I did some washing and got together a few things ready to pack. Hattie heard from out Pullman reservation today. So we know we can go next Tuesday. I wrote letters in the evening to sister Ida, By & Millie, Warner McCall, & Susan Garrett. Saturday, January 2nd 1915 I went down town at 9:15. Did some errand & to Dr Breene office. Then out to Fred Stevens to see Mollie Stevens. Later to Mrs Ida Swisher where I spent the day with Hattie & Fannie. I came home at 4:30. Will had come a car before. I spent most of the evening getting things ready to pack. Sunday January 3rd 1915 It was snowing so I did not attempt to go to church. Will was busy all forenoon fixing things to leave. He took away the rest of the chickens. I was busy all day getting things ready and packing. It cleared of in the afternoon. I read some in the evening. Monday January 4th 1915 Will got Bud Jones to take my trunk to the depot and his things down home in the sled. He went to a trustee meeting and got his dinner in town. I went down early after calling to see Mrs Kover and meeting Will & Hattie. We went to Emma Bivens funeral. After that Hattie and I went down to the depot to get our tickets. Will & I went home together and after supper came down home at 7:15. Ott & Fannie were there helping pack Hatties trunk. We slept alone at the old house.
